Popped at Pichon Baron 2005 for some Australian friends in Margaret River last week. I was worried as I had chucked it in my suitcase and carted it around the world, but it absolutely shone. Brilliant wine. Conversely, we also had Rousseau CSJ and Clos-de-la-Roche, but fabulous Burgs, but it was noticeable how closed they were compared to in barrel.

Lovely juicy ripe fresh bouncy berry and blackcurrant, a touch of violet and a finish that is bold yet refreshing. Excellent value. B(+)
